Champions Tour Rules

Players must be aged 50 or over at their first event to take part in the tour.

Every event is an official open competition and will count towards your national handicap.

Every event will be played from yellow tees and full Stableford scoring will be in place.

The field of players will be split in to sections depending upon the spectrum of the handicaps of our entrants.

The cost of the tour is £215 per person and includes 4 rounds of golf.

Your £95 deposit is non refundable as this secures your final venue spot.

If a player fails to play all 4 rounds of golf, the cost is still £215 per person.

Any player failing to show up for their tee time, or withdrawing within 48 hours of their tee time, will be liable for the green fee.

Any player failing to show up for their tee time without any notice will be removed from tour.

The players scores from each of their 4 events will combine to complete their tournament score.

The goal is to accumulate the most stableford points over 4 rounds of golf, 3 regional events and a final event.

The fee of £215 must be paid in full before the final round.

The championship will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as laid down by The R&A.

Players can only win 1 space at our international finals in Turkey.

If a player can't make the international finals week in Turkey, there is no cash alternative.

International finalists from the previous year will receive a 2 shot handicap cut throughout the season.

In order to preserve the integrity of The Golf in Scotland Champions Tour, the organisers’ reserve the right to disqualify a player or players from the tournament in the event that the tournament committee determines, in its absolute discretion, that a player’s handicap is inaccurate when compared with their actual playing ability. The tournament committee will determine whether a player’s handicap is inaccurate by taking into consideration any or all of the following:

    Handicap history review;

    Previous tournament/competition results;

    Current sanctions from any other national golf tournaments or from any County or National golf administrative bodies;

    Judgement on the relevance of completed qualifying competitions within the past 36 months;

    Complaints which are in the public domain and any other handicap inconsistencies that are brought to our attention

Golf in Scotland reserves the right to alter the format at any time.

Golf in Scotland reserves the right to adjust players handicaps as they see fit for tournament purposes.
